Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 29, 2026

1. Introduction

Syntglow (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our browser-based music visualization tool (the “Service”).

2. Local media stays on your device

Syntglow is a browser-based application. When you upload or select local MIDI, audio (for example MP3), images, logos, or other files to customize your visuals, these files are processed on your own device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your media files or creative assets to our servers for rendering. Project videos are encoded locally in your browser.

3. Data we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to run and secure the Service:

  • Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication credentials (for example a password hash, or data from a sign-in provider such as Google if you use that option).
  • Usage events. We may record events such as visits, logins, and completed renders (including which preset was used) to operate the product, measure usage, and improve the Service.
  • Session / device data. To enforce multi-device limits and prevent account sharing (as described in our Terms of Service), we may collect technical session data such as device or session identifiers, browser type, IP address, and login timestamps.

4. Payment processing

We do not collect or store your full credit card or bank details on our own systems. Paid plans are processed by our Merchant of Record (for example Lemon Squeezy). Their collection and use of payment information is governed by their own privacy policy, which you can review during checkout.

5. How we use your data

We use collected data to:

  • Create and maintain your account
  • Authorize Free and paid (Standard) features
  • Prevent account sharing, abuse, and fraud
  • Provide support when you contact us
  • Understand product usage (for example render counts and popular presets)

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We use infrastructure providers (for example hosting, database, and authentication services) to operate the Service; they process data on our behalf under their terms. We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights and safety of Syntglow and its users.

7. Retention

We keep account data while your account remains active. When account deletion is available and you request deletion, we will remove your personal account data from our active databases within a reasonable period (target: 30 days), except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, or billing disputes.

8. International transfers

The Service may be hosted on cloud servers in more than one country. By using Syntglow, you understand that account data may be processed outside your home country.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy when we post it here.

10. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy or your data: use the contact channel published on the site when available, or reach out through your account support path once provided.
